If you’re enjoying the island life, it’s important to prioritize self-care and maintain your health. I’ve put together some simple steps to help you on this self-care journey:

  1. Hydration is very important. With the sun beating down on us, it’s crucial to drink plenty of water throughout the day. Keep a water bottle with you, whether you’re hitting the beach or just taking a walk around the block. Not only will it help you stay cool, but it’ll also keep your energy up and your skin looking great.
  1. Living on an island provides countless opportunities for island adventures. Take advantage of the beautiful surroundings by going for walks along the beach, exploring hiking trails, or even trying out water sports like paddleboarding or snorkeling. Not only will you be getting in some exercise, but you’ll also enjoy the stunning natural beauty of your island home, which is a win-win in my opinion.
  1. While we all love a good tan, it’s important to do so safely. Make sure to lather up with sunscreen before heading outside, and don’t forget to reapply regularly, especially if you’re spending extended periods in the sun. A hat and sunglasses are also a good idea to keep those UV rays at bay. Trust me, your skin will thank you later.
  1. Maintaining a balanced diet is essential for overall well-being, and island life makes it easy with all the fresh fruits, veggies, and seafood around. Take advantage of local markets for some healthy ingredients, throw in some colorful fruits and veggies, and maybe treat yourself to something yummy once in a while – you deserve it!
