Easy Oven-Baked Pork Ribs Barbecue Recipe

Baked Pork Ribs Barbecue

I love a good barbecue rib recipe. When my family and I moved to the island, especially during the pandemic when we couldn’t travel to the city, I really missed this food. So, I had to find a way to make it at home.

I found a recipe and after a few tweaks, making sure the taste is to my liking, including a good BBQ sauce, I finally came up with my recipe below. The ingredients might seem like a lot, but trust me, it’s so easy to prepare. You need 24 hours to marinate the rib and make the BBQ sauce in advance. The following day, you just have to put the marinated ribs in the oven, and voila! You have food for lunch or dinner! Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 kilo Pork Ribs

Pork Rub

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp spanish paprika

1 tsp cayenne pepper

1 tsp thyme

1 tsp rosemary

1 tsp parsley

1/2 tsp cumin

1/2 ginger powder

2 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

1 Tbsp olive oil

Barbecue Sauce

1 cup pineapple juice

1/4 cup tomato ketchup

1/4 banana ketchup

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 Tbsp honey

1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce

1/4 cup apple vinegar

2 tsp sriracha

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

1 tsp all spice

1 Tbsp mustard

1 Tbsp soy sauce

Procedure:

  1. Begin by thoroughly washing the pork ribs and patting them dry with a paper towel. Set them aside for the moment.
  2. In a bowl, combine the ingredients for the pork rub until well mixed.
  3. Massage the dry rub generously all over the surface of the ribs, ensuring that every part is evenly coated.
  4. Wrap the seasoned ribs tightly in plastic wrap, then place them in a sealed container or zip-top plastic freezer bags. Allow the ribs to marinate in the refrigerator for a minimum of 24 hours. Before grilling, let the ribs sit at room temperature for about an hour.
  5. Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking tray with foil for easy cleanup.
  6. Arrange the marinated pork ribs on the prepared baking tray, drizzling them with a touch of olive oil. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes to an hour, until the ribs are tender and cooked through.
  7. Once the ribs are cooked, remove them from the oven and generously baste them with barbecue sauce. Switch the oven setting to broil and return the ribs to the oven for an additional ten minutes to caramelize the sauce.
  8. Allow the ribs to rest for ten minutes before serving, allowing the flavors to settle and the juices to redistribute.

For the Barbecue Sauce:

Combine all the barbecue sauce ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil. Stir continuously until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
