Our go-to dessert at home is a delicious brownie recipe that’s easy to make. You can add your favorite nuts or even some Nutella before baking for an extra oozing touch.

It’s perfect with vanilla ice cream and caramel too! Just remember to store cut brownie squares in an airtight container at room temperature.

They’re best eaten within 1-2 days. For longer storage, wrap an uncut brownie in plastic and keep it at room temperature for up to 4 days or in a freezer for up to 3 months.

Enjoy!

Fudgy Brownie

Ingredients:

6 ounces bittersweet chocolate

4 ounces unsalted butter

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar

3 pcs eggs

1/4 cup dutch processed cocoa

1/4 tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 cup all purpose flour

1/2 cup toasted hazelnuts/walnuts

Procedure:

1. Start by preheating your oven to 350°F. Prepare a square pan by lining it with parchment paper or greasing it with butter to ensure the brownies don’t stick.

2. If you’re using hazelnuts or walnuts, spread them out on a baking tray and toast them in the oven for about 10 minutes. Once toasted, allow them to cool before roughly chopping them and setting them aside.

3. In a heatproof bowl, combine the chocolate and butter. Melt them together over a pot of simmering water, ensuring the water is on low heat to avoid burning the chocolate. Stir the mixture until smooth and well combined, then set it aside to cool slightly.

4. While the chocolate and butter mixture is still warm, stir in the sugar until it’s completely dissolved.

5. Add the eggs to the mixture one at a time, whisking continuously. Then, mix in the salt and vanilla extract.

6. Sift the cocoa powder directly over the mixture, then whisk until everything is thoroughly combined.

7. Carefully fold in the sifted all-purpose flour, ensuring there are no white lumps remaining in the batter. If you’re including nuts, fold them into the mixture at this stage as well.

8. Transfer the batter into the prepared square pan and spread it out evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

9. Once baked, allow the brownies to cool before slicing and serving. This resting period allows the flavors to develop and the brownies to set properly.

Enjoy your delicious homemade brownies!
